We didn't spend so much time with him, but we can tell you: this guy is amazing!
How to describe Askar? Three words, maybe:
- efficient
- joyful
- crazy

Efficient
Even more: super efficient! We wrote him the day before coming at his place because Yaël was joining us. He accepted straight away, without any hesitation. And when we reached at his place, quite late (which was apparently not a problem at all), he directly showed us the flat, gave us the wifi password, told us to use everything as if we would be at home (fridge, wash machine, bathroom)… and five minutes later he was working again in his room on his computer (he is a graphic designer working as a freelancer). Done!
Joyful
It is a weak word to describe him – he has so much positive energy! We met him for dinner in an Uzbek restaurant. With a lot of enthusiasm, he started to try to translate the whole menu… but he finally chose for everybody because we didn't have any idea of the different specialties. And 4 piva of course! We talked a lot together – he had so much to say about Kazakhstan and about the life in Almaty. And he was also really curious about us. After eating, we bought some drinks and went to the place of one of his friends (who was not there), to chill in the garden. We took some time to come back, walking ar night. But it was such a happy and joyful evening!
Crazy
Askar likes to meet a lot of people and to share experiences. He is most of all mad about biking (especially in the mountains)! It seemed to us that he is never tired. He wanted to talk, talk, talk and share impressions about everything with us. He never lost his insane energy. And at the end, it was almost as if he didn't wanted to let us go: we really should have come with me to the mountains of Almaty that weekend!
Thank you so much, Askar! One day we will come back to go with you up in the mountains!
